Hello,

Ever since the iconbar/smilies update, some users have reported display issues under Internet Explorer 11 of Windows 7. These issues are not present at Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer 11 of Windows 10. We are using the new Material set of icons.

Hi there,

The support for Windows 7 will end by 14th January 2020. Wouldn't it be time to change to Win 8 or better 10?

Until then you and your members rather should use the modern browsers which do not cause issues.

Hello,

I'm personally not using Windows 7 or IE but I can't tell people what to use really. The problem did not exist before, it happened after the update and I suspect a very small fix from Xobor's side it going to fix it. When possible, keeping backwards compatibility is never a bad idea, even if something is nearing its EOL.

You are certainly right - at least it is known that Windows 7 soon will not exist anymore, so everybody can take the necessary steps in time.

Sounds to me like the IE11 still has problems with displaying svg images correctly.

Unfortunately we do not have a Win 7 PC in the office anymore so I can't really test this, but I guess it should work if you add the following code to your CSS addon:

img.xsmile[src$=".svg"], .xob_iconlist > .xob_icon_cont img[src$=".svg"] { max-width: 24px; }

Thank you very much for the reply Ingmar. Yes, the CSS fix does work on IE 11 under Windows 7 from what has been reported to me.
